On 15 March 2011, Syrians began vocally uprising against the Assad regime. One year later, the country finds itself embroiled in a slow-burning civil war. Stories of massacre, torture, disappearances and horror are now commonplace in Syrian daily life. And yet…the People continue to fight back against the regime. Today, we celebrate the strength of the Syrian people and their resolve for freedom. Today, we are all Syrians.
